Pinwheel Samosa is a popular recipe of Maharashtra and Gujarat. They are also called Aloo Bhakarwadi and Samosa Roll. This is a type of Samosa but it is easier to make than Samosa. To make Samosa Roll, hard dough is first kneaded and then it is rolled like a round roti. Potato stuffing is filled in it and then pinwheels of one size are cut and deep fried. You can prepare pin wheel samosa for evening snack and serve it with green chutney, red chutney or tomato sauce.

Ingredients for pinwheel samosa
.1 cup all purpose flour
. 2 tbsp semolina(rava)
.1/4 tsp carom seeds (ajwain)
.1/4 tsp salt
.2 tsp oil
Ingredients for stuffing of pinwheel samosa
. 2 boiled potatoes
.1/4 tsp turmeric powder
.1/4 tsp red chilli powder
.1/4 tsp cumin powder
.1/4 tsp dried mango powder(amchur)
.1/2 tsp ginger garlic paste
.1/4 tsp coriander powder
.Oil for frying
.Coriander leaves
.2 tbsp all purpose flour
.water
Pinwheel samosa recipe
. First of all, in a big vessel add one cup of all purpose flour, two tablespoons of semolina, 1/4th teaspoon of carom seeds,1/4th teaspoon of salt and 2 teaspoons of oil and mix it.
. Now add water little by little and knead a hard dough.
. Cover the dough with a wet cloth and let it rest for 15 minutes
. Now put two boiled potatoes in a vessel
. Now add 1/4th tsp turmeric powder, 1/4th tsp cumin powder, 1/4th tsp dry mango powder, 1/4th tsp red chilli powder, salt as per taste, 1/2 tsp ginger garlic paste, 1/4coriander powder to the potatoes and finely chopped coriander and mix it, the stuffing is ready.
. Divide the dough into two parts
. Take a portion and knead it with your hands to make a dough.
. Sprinkle dry flour on the dough and roll it like a round roti.
. Put half of the potato stuffing on the rolled bread and spread it thinly by pressing it with a spoon.
. After spreading potato stuffing on the roti, fold the roti by lifting it from one side and make a roll.
. Now prepare a thin batter by adding a little water to 2 tbsp all purpose flour.
.Cut the roll into equal pieces
. Now flatten one slice gently and stick the corners properly
. Heat oil in a pan for frying samosas
.When the oil is well heated, take a samosa and dip it in the flour solution and put it in the hot oil, put as many samosas as you can in the pan at a time
. Fry the samosas on low flame till they turn crispy.
. Fry all the samosas in the same way
. Pinwheel samosas are ready, now serve them hot with chutney and sauce.
