Moong dal dosa is a healthy snack because moong contains protein and it gets cooked and ready very quickly because the dal has to be soaked same hour and it does not even need to ferment and make this dosa For very little oil is needed this dosa can be served with coconut chutney ,red chutney and sweet chutney whichever you like I have made moong dal dosa here with green moong if you want it with dusted moong dal can also make
Ingredients for making Moong Dal Dosa
.Peeled Moong Dal
.ginger paste
.1 green pepper
.chopped green coriander
.Salt to taste
Ingredients for making stuffing
.1 finely chopped onion
.1 finely chopped tomatoes
.1 finely chopped green pepper
. Grated paneer (curd cheese)
.chopped green coriander
.sev(namkeen)
Recipe for making Moong Dal Dosa
. First, soak the moong dal in a large pot for 1 hour
. When the dal is well soaked, drain it and put the dal in a mixer jar along with a green chilli and a little salt.
. Now add quite a bit of water and grind the dal with a lid on top of the jar
.If the dal batter is too thick, add little water and mix well
. The dosa batter is ready.
. Now heat a non-stick pan. Do not heat the pan too much
.Once the frying pan is hot, oil the top of it and wipe off the extra oil with tissue paper
. Now splash water on the pan and wipe the pan again
. Now pour a big spoon dal (pulse) containing mixture on the pan and gently swirl the batter with your hands taking care to swirl the batter in the same direction
. Add a little oil on top of the dosa and cook on low heat until the dosa is crispy
.When the dosa is cooked, it will rise upwards by itself from the cone
. Now sprinkle finely chopped onion, finely chopped tomatoes, finely chopped green chillies, grated curd cheese (paneer)and finely chopped green coriander on top of the dosa
. When the dosa starts rising from the top, the dosa is cooked well. Now fold it
. Moong dal dosa is ready now serve it with green chutney and red chutney
Tips
. You can also use yellow moong dal instead of peeled dal
. You can also fill the dosa with potato stuffing if you like
. Let the dosa get crispy on low heat
. If you are making dosa in the morning, soak the dal overnight
.Last but not least, serve the dose with your favorite sauce
.Every time you make dosa, it is important to cool the hot pan by adding splashes of water
