1/2 tsp black pepper powder

How to make Instant Chakli

.First put rice flour and refined flour in a big vessel.

Now add 1 pinch hig, 1 tsp red chilli powder, salt as per taste, 1/2 tsp turmeric powder, 1/2 tsp cumin, 1/2 tsp coarsely ground black pepper and mix.

Now add melted butter to it and mix it well

.Now add little hot water and knead a hard dough.

Cover the dough and keep it for 10 minutes.

.Now fix star mold in chakli maker

Apply some oil on the inside of the chakli maker so that the dough will not stick inside it.

Divide the dough into two parts, lengthen one part with your hands and place it in the chakli maker and cover it over the chakli maker.

.Now on a wet cloth or butter paper, slowly start making chakli and give shape to chakli by rotating it in circular motion.

You can make the chakli small or big as per your choice.

Similarly make all the chaklis.

Now heat the oil in the pan

When the oil becomes hot, lift the chakli from the butter paper with a light hand and slowly put it in the oil and while turning the chakli from both the sides, deep fry it on medium flame till it becomes crispy from both the sides.

.Do not put too much chakli in oil at once or else it will break.

.Fry one or two chaklis at a time

Take out the chakli on paper or in a sieve so that the excess oil gets removed

When the chaklis cool down completely, store them in an air tight container and use them for up to 2 weeks.

Tips

The oil should not be too hot while frying the chakli.

.Fry the chakli on medium flame only

Do not put too many chaklis in oil at a time and fry only after adding 1 or 2

.You can make more or less spices than you like.
